ORGANIZE MY LIFE: PLANNERS & NOTEBOOKS

One of the most essential assets of being a Meeting Planner is being organized. I am literally obsessed with all things office supplies - planners, notebooks, pens, highlighters, calendars, etc. I'm that girl who gets really excited when we get to order yearly calendars at work, my Outlook calendar is color coded and I have different notebooks for different projects. I've had a bunch of different planners over the years but I have a few that I'm currently using to share with you in case your looking for some planner inspiration!


Personal/Blog Planner



It was the beginning of January and I had the great planner debate. I've had my fair share of Lilly Pulitzer planners and thought this was the year I would splurge and get an Erin Condren planner. I've been debating on getting an Erin Condren Life Planner for a few years now but spending $50 on a planner is a little too much for me. I am really big in "to do lists" so I wanted to find a planner where I could incorporate a weekly to do list. Browsing through Target one day I came across a Sugar Paper planner (I LOVE all Sugar Paper products!!). For $7 I thought it was worth giving it a shot and I actually really like it.


How I organize my planner:
I add my upcoming events to the monthly view. These include dinners with friends, birthdays, concerts, etc. The weekly view is where I'm more specific. The right side has a "notes" section, this is where I write down blog ideas and topics to write for the week. In this section I also add my weekly to do list "TDL" (i.e. laundry, things for Macey, grocery shopping, etc). Once I have my lists somewhat complete, I assign them to days I want to complete them. This keeps me on track weekly and I love to check off the tasks I've completed.

I usually write my blog in one color and my "TDL" in another color. This particular week I didn't use two colors so I highlighted my "TDL" to differentiate the two projects. I always keep sticky notes to make my top 5 things to do to stick to the cover to so I can make sure they get done.


Work Planner
I bought a Planner Pad for the first time to help juggle all my various projects. It is super helpful but you definitely have to take time to plan out your planner (ironic right?). The planner has a monthly view and a weekly view.

How I organize my planner:
This planner is very specific in the way you set up it up. Write out each project at the top with the action items/to do items underneath. Then you assign the action items to a specific day. It is really helpful to see the items you need to accomplish each day so you can focus on those items.

Secret Project Notebook
I can't wait to tell you guys what I've been working on over the past month...but it's not ready yet. I keep this greenroom notebook with me where ever I go. It's the perfect size to fit in your handbag to take notes and make lists. Stay tuned to hear about my new venture coming soon!!!! :)


Random Notebook
Can you tell I am a notebook junkie by now? I like to keep this notebook in my handbag or in my apartment to write down grocery lists, random notes, things to remember, etc. I had to buy it because it's so freakin' cute! I love polka dots!
